Help pleaseee! :(

A system of two linear equations has Infinitely Many Solutions. If the first equation is y = -2x + 4 , then what would be the second equation?

A. 2x - y = 4

B. 2x + y = 4

C. 4x - y = 10

Answer:

B. 2x + y = 4

Explanation:

If you look carefully, you will see that

y = -2x + 4 and

2x + y =4

are the same equation, so there are infinitely many solutions for the system, namely, all the points on the line y = -2x + 4

If you want to find an example of solution, just give arbitrary values to x and solve for y.

For example

x = 1, y=2 is one solution

x=2, y = 0 is another one.

There are as many solutions as values of x you try, so there are infinitely many.
