In a building there are 30 cylindrical pillars. The radius of each pillar is 42 m and height is 7 m. Find the total cost of painting the curved surface area of all pillars at the rate of Rs 10 per square meter.

The curved surface area of each pillar is
CSA=2\pi rh

Substitute the value,


CSA=2* (22)/(7)* 42* 7


CSA=1848\ m^2

Area of 30 pillars is given by,


A=1848* 30=55440\ m^2

The curved surface area of all pillars at the rate of Rs.10 per square meter.

The cost painting is
C=55440* 10=Rs.554400
