Answer:

Suppose the complete equation is,

'A Game swap membership cost $20 and includes one game per month for $5 non-members get one game a month for $7.Explain how to use this information to decide whether to become a member'

Given,

The membership cost = $ 20,

one game price = $ 5,

So, the total cost for a member for x months( say y ) = membership cost + games price for x months

y = 20 + 5x ......(1)

For non member,

One game cost = 7,

So, the total cost for non member for x months, y = 7x ....(2)

By graphing lines (1) and (2),

we obtained that,

For 10 months non membership is better but after that membership is better.

Note : Graphing :

y = 20 + 5x passes through (0, 20) and (-4, 0)

y = 7x passes through (0, 0) and (1, 7)
