He shared feelings of sadness with the world when speaking of the past and a willingness to help South Africa achieve their goals because these goals were to be achieved not only as a notion but also as citizens of humanity and the world. “An ideal for which I am prepared to die.” He was more than willing to do anything he could to bring South Africa together as a whole and he was willing to sacrifice himself for the nation.
