What is the GCF of 14 and 42?

Answer: 2x7.2x7

Explanation:

So first you write down 14 then small lines going downwards divide 14 by 2 to get 7. Then write 2 and 7 below the two small lines then circle the to indicate that you got your final answer.

Write down 42 then draw two small lines underneath it, divide 42 by 2 to get 21.

The write 21 and 2 below the lines then see if you can divide 21 anymore but first circle the 2 to show your done with the 2. You can divide 21 by 3 so divide 21 by 3 to get 7 then draw a small line below 21 and write 7 then since you can’t divide 7 you circle then 7 then your done.
