(I am not really looking for an answer, more of a detailed explanation of how to do this problem)

Theo wants to use a cookie recipe that makes 36 cookies but he wants to reduce the number of cookies to 24. If the recipe specifies using 2 cups of sugar, how much sugar should he use?
Thank you!

I think you would subtract how many cookies the recipe can make with how many Theo wants to make and do the same with the recipe. I don’t really know I’m just guessing. Thank you for reading this though.

Hi!

To solve this problem, first determine what fraction 24 out of 36 cookies in. Use that fraction to determine the amount of sugar he should use.
