Answer:

The value of x is 18.

Explanation:

Given : If ABCD is an isosceles trapezoid. AC = 5x - 25 and BD = 3x + 11

To find : What is the value of x?

Solution :

ABCD is isosceles trapezoid.

An isosceles trapezoid has a pair of parallel sides.

∴ AB∥CD

Its non parallel sides are equal.

∴ AD=BC

Diagonals of an isosceles trapezoid are equal.

⇒ AC=BD

Substituting the value,

5x-25=3x+11

5x-3x=25+11

2x=36

x=(36)/(2)

x=18

Therefore, the value of x is 18.
