ASAP please!!!!

a) Find the value of 3a + 4b when a = 17 and b = 9.
b) Use the formula v= u + at to find the velocity, when
• the initial velocity is 3 m/s
• the acceleration is 1.5 m/s?

Answer:

a) The value of
3a+4b=87

b) The velocity is
v= 13.5m/s.

Explanation:

Part a

Given:

a=17 and
b = 9

Find the value of given expression =
3a+4b

Put a, b value in given expression

=3* 17+4* 9

=51+36

=87

The value of
3a+4b=87

Part b

Given:

the initial velocity is
u=3m/s

the acceleration is
a=1.5m/s^(2)

the time is
t=7 seconds

The given formula
v= u + at to find the velocity.

where
a=acceleration,

u = initial velocity

t = time

Put all the value in given velocity formula

v= u + at

v= 3 + 1.5* 7

v= 3 + 10.5

v= 13.5m/s

Therefore, the velocity is
v= 13.5m/s.
