In watermelons, green color(G) is dominant over the gene for striped color(g). the gene for short shape(S) is dominant over the gene for long shapes(s). What is the probability that a long, striped fruit and a plant heterozygous for both traits will produce a melon that is long and green?

Answer: 1/4

Step-by-step explanation:

Any of the plant that is long is homozygous for long (ll) and any that is striped is homozygous for strip.

The result of the cross would be 1 green short, 1 green long, 1 striped short, 1 striped long. Thus the probability will be 1/4
