Width = 8cm

Let the length be x

Let the width be 2/3x

Perimeter = 2 (l+b)

Length = 2 (x+2/3x) = 40

= x + 2/3x = 40/2

= x + 2/3x = 20

= x/1 + 2/3x = 20

LCM = 3

= 3x + 2x = 20

= 5x = 60

= x = 60/5

= x = 12
