a) y intercept increases.

b) x intercept moves to the left.

Explanation:

a) y intercept means y value when x = 0

We have h(x) = ln(x + p)

y = ln(x + p)

Substituting

y = ln(0 + p) = ln p

As p increases y intercept also increases.

y intercept increases.

b) x intercept means x value when y = 0

We have h(x) = ln(x + p)

y = ln(x + p)

Substituting

0 = ln(x + p)

x + p = e⁰

x = 1 - p

As p increases x intercept decreases.

x intercept moves to the left.
