Poor family relationships also make teens more likely to attract and affiliate with deviant peers and take on their negative behaviors. Family and parent relationships: Family heavily influences teen behavior and often shapes the environment adolescents grow up in

Answer: No, being surrounded by negative influences can help a child succeed at life as well. The child would be able to see what happened to their friends/family who made bad choices and may be influenced to make different choices than them so they do not go down the same path as the friends/family. Being around positive or negative influences can impact a child but it is primarily the child’s decision whether they want to listen to the bad influences or not. The people you are around do not completely shape you into the person you are becoming or will become.
