Write the equation of a line passing through (6,2)and (6,-5).

Answer: x = 6

Explanation:

Since we are given two points on the graph, we first have to find the slope by using the formula m = y2-y1/x2-x1, where m is the slope.

Since it doesn't matter which set of points is x1 and y1 and x2 and y2, we are going to make (6,2) x1 and y1 and (6,-5) x2 and y2. Plugging those numbers in, we get m = -5-2/6-6 = -7/0 = undefined. So, we have an undefined slope.

Since we know we have an undefined slope, we also know that the equation is going to graph to be a vertical line and an x= equation. So, if we just look at the x's, we can see that since they are both 6, that is what our vertical line is going to be.

So, our equation is x = 6
