Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

During the 1920's Harlem became a place of expression for black artists, writers, musicians and scholars. In this sense it was a revival of the "renaissance" making great leaps again in the arts. The purpose of this movement was focused on the reinforcement of black identity and pride. It began with the migration of many African Americans into northern cities. With this came an expression of their culture which bought attention to some of the most famous creative people of this time. Some of the most famous poets include Langston Hughes, Sterling A. Brown, Zora Neale Hurston, and Jessie Fauset. Their poems often about their lives as Black Americans were often published in the NAACP journal. Some of the most famous musicians included Louis Armstrong, Bessie Smith and Duke Ellington. The Apollo theater became a notorious place for musicians trying to be heard to express themselves and get their music out there. Their music incorporated mostly jazz and the blues which attracted people from all over to participate in this movement.
