Ok so if you have an equation with a variable on both sides like this : 5x-6=2x

How do you solve it what are the steps?

Explanation:

5x - 6 = 2x Subtract 2x from both sides:

5x - 2x - 6 = 2x - 2x

3x - 6 = 0 Now add 6 to both sides:

3x = 6

x = 2.
