Answer:

The quantity of flour used with 1 egg to makes recipe is 1
(7)/(8) cups .

Explanation:

Given as :

The ingredients for the recipe calls for

The quantity of flour = 2
(1)/(2) cups =
(5)/(2)

The number of eggs = 4

Now, we apply unitary method :

∵ The quantity of flour used with 4 eggs to makes recipe =
(5)/(2) cups

So, The quantity of flour used with 1 egg to makes recipe =
((5)/(2))/(4) cups

∴ The quantity of flour used with 3 eggs to makes recipe =
((5)/(2))/(4) × 3 cups

I.e The quantity of flour used with 1 egg to makes recipe =
(15)/(8) cups

Or, The quantity of flour used with 1 egg to makes recipe = 1
(7)/(8) cups

Hence , The quantity of flour used with 1 egg to makes recipe is 1
(7)/(8) cups . Answer
