Answer:

Normal hourly pay of Ann is $6.7 per hour.

Explanation:

Given:

Total Money earned = $378.55

Total hours worked = 51 hours.

Ann earns 1.5 times her normal hourly pay for each hour that she works over 40 hours in a week.

Let the normal Hourly pay be x;

Now total extra hours after 40 hours = Total hours worked - 40 = 51 -40 = 11 hours

Now Total money earned is equal to normal Hourly pay multiplied by 40 hours plus 1.5 multiplied by normal Hourly pay multiplied by total extra hours after 40 hours.

Hence the equation can be framed as;

40x+1.5* x* 11 = 378.55

Solving the equation we get;

40x+1.5* x* 11 = 378.55\\40x+16.5x=378.55\\56.5x=378.55\\x = (378.55)/(56.5) = \$6.7 \ per \ hour

Hence, Normal hourly pay of Ann is $6.7 per hour.
