Answer:

The linear system which represents the situation is

s + 2 c = 9 and 2 s + c = 12

Explanation:

The money spent by Larry for cookout = $ 90

The number of steaks bought by Larry = 10

The number of chickens bought by Larry = 20

Again ,

The money spent by Tyrik for cookout = $ 180

The number of steaks bought by Tyrik = 30

The number of chickens bought by Tyrik = 15

Now,

Let The cost per steaks = $ s

And The cost per chicken = $ c

So, According to question

The money spent by Larry for cookout = The number of steaks bought by Larry × The cost per steaks + The number of chicken bought by Larry × The cost per chicken

So, 10 × $ s + 20 × $ c = $ 90

I.e s + 2 c = 9

And

The money spent by Tyrik for cookout = The number of steaks bought by Tyrik × The cost per steaks + The number of chicken bought by Tyrik × The cost per chicken

So, 30 × $ s + 15 × $ c = $ 180

I.e 2 s + c = 12

Hence The linear system which represents the situation is

s + 2 c = 9 and 2 s + c = 12 Answer
