The area of rectangular garden is
8 x^(2)+4 x-24

Solution:

Given that a rectangular garden has width = 4x - 6

Length of rectangular garden = 2x + 4

To find: area of rectangular garden

The area of rectangle is given as:

\text {area of rectangle }=\text { length } * \text { width }

Substituting the values in given formula,

\begin{array}{l}{\text { area of rectangle }=(2x+4) *(4x-6)} \\\\ {=8 x^(2)-12 x+16 x-24} \\\\ {=8 x^(2)+4 x-24}\end{array}

Thus the area of rectangular garden is
8 x^(2)+4 x-24
