Answer:

1. Yo les PIDO a ustedes que me DEN otra oportunidad

2. Mis primos me SUGIEREN que DIGA la verdad

Step-by-step explanation:

In this exercise we are asked to order the words presented to us and, if necessary, to add others in order to compound SUBORDINATE SENTENCES. But what are those?

SUBORDINATE SENTENCES:

Sentences are grammatical structures that allow us to express our ideas; in Spanish it is necessary to have just a CONJUGATED VERB to have an entire and grammatical sentence, but of course we can add more elements (as nouns, adverbs, adjectives, etc.) to say things more precisely. Subordinate sentences are those syntactical constructions that depend on others to have complete meaning. In our specific case, we notice that the use of the SUBORDINATE LINK WORD QUE indicates us that we have a subordinate sentence (with its own conjugated verb).

The structure that we’ll be following in this kind of compound sentences in spanish is:

SUBJECT + INDIRECT OBJECT + CONJUGATED VERB+ OBJECT (here is the second sentence, the subordinate one)

or, in other words:

MAIN CLAUSE (Subject + indirect object + conjugated verb) + SUBSTANTIVE CLAUSE (que + indirect object + conjugated verb + object)

ANSWERS

*Notice that in the answers the conjugated verbs are marked with capital letters and bolded words, while the subordinate link words are marked with italic and bold style words.*

1. Yo les PIDO a ustedes que me DEN otra oportunidad

2. Mis primos me SUGIEREN que DIGA la verdad
