Answer:

We should stand during the pledge of allegiance

Step-by-step explanation:

The reason we decided to stand when speaking to the flag was because in June of 1777 when we "made" the flag we are honoring the people who lost their lives in war. We stand to honor the 1.2 million people that lost their lives serving for our country and our freedom. When it comes to something so huge and important to our lives we should be able to stand and say the pledge with pride. As an entire class if they all decided to sit and not say the pledge that is like a sign of disrespect. Now nobody can make you stand and say it but if you don't you will be looked down upon because for so long that is what we have done and because one degenerate student doesn't want to do what they are being told to do. We do stand and face the flag for our president and I understand that our president isn't the best but disregarding that the rule of the people who lost their lives for our freedom from the beginning was not our president now. The First Amendment is freedom of speech, and we have a right to say I don't want to stand for the pledge or I don't want to say it and when it comes down to it not doing those things is not illegal but disrespectful. Simply standing acknowledges the fact as America we have overcome obstacles throughout our lifetime, slavery, war, etc.. and how that has made us stronger as a whole. We are taught the pledge at a young age to show us respect and honor and encourages us to be the best we can be.
