How do you solvethis equation: -3/4(x-8)=1/2x-9

Explanation:

Distribute -3/4 with x and 8 which means multiply -3/4 with X and -3/4 with 8. Then leave the subtraction sign between the two.

It should look like -3/4x - (-3/4*8) = 1/2x-9

Now take your sum you got from -3/4*8 and add it to -9

Now that you have -3/4x left on one side and you have one sum on the right take 1/2x and subrtact it to -3/4 x so X is on one side. Last step is to divide your 2 total sums, hope this helps
