A seems to be the best answer out of all four, since I use hyphens (this thing: -) between other words in sentences. The only way that there's only one hyphen in a sentence is if the words after the hyphen end the sentence, like choice B. However, B would not make sense, since I feel like there should be a pause after "unrequested". Choice D is the oddball out of all of these, since the word "though" has an unnecessary colon. I would rule that one out. So, we are left with A and C. A would make more sense, since the hyphens make the text flow better than the comma used in C.
