To find the zeroes of the function we are assuming f(x) = 0 and solve the equations.

Hence, - 2x² + x + 5 = 0

Applying Sridhar Acharya's formula


x = \frac{-1 + \sqrt{1^(2) - 4 (- 2)(5) } }{2(- 2)} and
x = \frac{-1 - \sqrt{1^(2) - 4 (- 2)(5) } }{2(- 2)}


x = (- 1 + 6.4)/(-4) and
x = (- 1 - 6.4)/(-4)

x = -1.35 and x = 1.85

Therefore, the zeros of the function are x = -1.35 and x = 1.85 (Answer)
