Since the prize is a wheel and wheel is in the shape of circle.

So we use the formula of area of circle to calculate the radius.


Area\ of\ circle = pi* radius^2

Let the radius of the circle be x.

On substituting the value of area and radius, we get;


3.14= pi* x^2\\3.14=3.14* x^2\\\\x^2=(3.14)/(3.14) =1\\\therefore x= √(1) =1

So the radius of the circle = 1 feet

And we know that the diameter is twice of radius of the circle.


Diameter=2* radius=2*1=2\ feet

Thus the diameter of the prize wheel is 2 feet.
