In a one day match , Sachin played 40 balls and hit 12 sixes and Sourav played 30 balls and hit 9 fours . Find the probability that Sachin will hit a six in the next ball and also find the probability that Saurav will not hit a four in the next ball

Answer:

It's most likely that each player will hit within the next 3 balls.

Explanation:

All you have to do to find out when the player will hit the next score is take their previous amount of balls they hit and divide it by the number out of times they hit a 6 or a 4. So in Sachin's example you just have to take the 40 and divide it by 12 and you get 3.3 repeated and because the first decimal isn't a 5 or above you round down and so it would then just be 3. Also in Sourav's example you would just take 30 and divide it by 9. You would then also get 3.3 repeated and round down and you would then get 3. So now you know that the net time each player will hit a 6 or a 4 will be within the next 3 hits. Hope this helps!
