Leslie and her friend Magdalena shared two pizzas with some friends. One pizza was a pepperoni pizza and the other was vegetarian. 3/4 of the vegetarian pizza was eaten and 5/8 of the pepperoni pizza was eaten. How much more vegetarian pizza was eaten than pepperoni pizza?

1/8 more vegetarian pizza was eaten than pepperoni pizza.

To find this answer, you must first find a common denominator for the 2 fractions given. To do this, multiply 3/4 by 2/2 to get 6/8. Lastly, take 6/8 (the fraction of the vegetarian pizza eaten) and subtract 5/8 (the fraction of the pepperoni pizza eaten) to get 1/8 more vegetarian pizza eaten. Thus meaning that's the answer.

I hope this helps!
