First solve for x.

x=2

plug in 2 for x
6(2)-5

Answer:

6x - 5 = 7

Explanation:

Given

6x - 1 = 11 ( add 1 to both sides )

6x = 12 ( divide both sides by 6 )

x = 2

Hence

6x - 5 = (6 Ă— 2) - 5 = 12 - 5 = 7
