Why is a cool down an important part of a work out?

It helps flexibility.


It helps the muscles become stronger.


It gets the body ready for the rest of the workout.


It allows the heart rate to return to its normal rate.

Explanation: It doesn't always help with flexibility or strengthing your muscles, and since your cool down occurs at the end of a workout, it does not prepare the body for the rest of the workout.

because if you dont you can work your muscles a little too much and you always wanna keep your heart beat down so cooling down helps with that. gradually cool body temperature, return muscles to their optimal length-tension relationships, prevent venous pooling of blood in the lower extremities, which may cause dizziness or possible fainting, and restore physiologic systems close to baseline.
