here is how you do it ! It took me some time but i got it. set it up

(x+96) + (x+53) = 131

combine like terms ! 2x+149=131

subtract from both sides ! don't worry if you get a negative you should!

149-149=0

149-131=-18

set up problem again! 2x=-18 divide 2/-18 = -9

Plug in Remember they only asked for siide CKJ SOOO -9+53= 44!!

To check plug in to the other one (x+96 and see what you get) -9+96= 87

add 87 +44 = 131 There you go I hoped i helped :)
