How do you find to shaded region between a circle and a rectangle?

Answer:

Area of Region in between = πr² - L * W

Explanation:

Assuming that the rectangle is inside the circle then it would be a mixture of the two area formulas.

Area of a rectangle: Length * Width

Area of a Circle = π(radius)²

Since the rectangle is inside the circle, we can subtract the areas to find the shaded region that is not overlapped by the rectangle.

Area of Region in between = Area of a Circle - Area of a rectangle

Area of un-overlapped Region = πr² - L * W
