slope is the number before x.
slope = 3/4.
the y-intercept is found by plugging 0 for x.
y = (3/4)(0) - 1
y= -1
so the y intercept is (0,-1).
the x intercept is found by plugging 0 for y.
0 = (3/4)x -1
1 = 3/4 x
4/3 = x
the x-intercept is (4/3, 0)

graph the equation by first plotting (0,-1), then use the slope (3/4), by going up 3, and right 4.
