m = y2 - y1 / x2 - x1
m = 0 - (-2) / 4 - (-4)
m = 0 + 2 / 4 + 4
m = 2 / 8
m = 1/4

y = 1/4x + c
insert one of the points in the equation:
0 = 1/4(4) + c
0 = 1 + c
c = -1

The equation is:
y = 1/4x - 1

Answer:

y+2=1/4(x+4)

Explanation:

y-y1=m(x-x1)

m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

m=(0-(-2))/(4-(-4))

m=(0+2)/(4+4)

m=2/8

m=1/4

y-(-2)=1/4(x-(-4))

y+2=1/4(x+4)
