Crystal is training for a marathon. She wants to run 24 miles each week. She has run 16.5 miles this week. Write an equation to determine how many more miles m she needs to run this week.

y = x + m

Explanation:

The equation is as follows;

Let us suppose the total miles runs each week be y

And, the number of more miles she need to run this week be m

And, she run this week be x

So, the equation would be

y = x + m

m = y - x

= 24 miles - 16.5 miles

= 7.5 miles

Hence, the 7.5 miles would more miles she should run this week
