Answer: The walls of kidney tubules are formed by Simple cuboidal epithelium.

Step-by-step explanation:

Simple cuboidal epithelium is a form of epithelium tissue that consist of cube like cells which have large, spherical and central nuclei. The are found in kidney tubules, part of the eyes, surface of ovaries, lining of nephron's and thyroid. These cells function in reabsorption of materials and secretions.

Answer: CUBOIDAL EPITHELIUM

Explanation: In order to prevent the loss of important components of Glomerular filtrate (GF) from the body, as the GF flows through the nephron, these substances are reabsorbed back through the cuboidal epithelial walls of the nephron into the blood plasma. Since only needed substances are reabsorbed into the blood plasma, the process is called selective reabsorption.

Most of the reabsorbed fluid are at the proximal convoluted tubules.

The cuboidal epithelial are adapted for the reabsorption for the following reasons

1. Possession of microvilli to increase surface area of the inner surface facing the lumen

2. Presence of tight junctions between adjacent cells which prevent fluid flowing between cells, but directly into the cells.

3. Abundant mitochondrial for Na+/K+ pumps proteins in the outer membrane of cells.

Therefore the cuboidal epithelium ensures relatively constant homeostatic condition of the body.
