A painter uses 2 tubes of blue paint for every 6 tubes of white paint to paint a mural. At that rate ,How many tubes of blue paint are used if 15 tubes of white paint are used

Given:

To paint a mural painter uses 2 tubes of blue paint for every 6 tubes of white paint

Hence,

6 tubes of white paint = 2 tubes of blue paint

Now we need to find number of blue paint tubes used for 15 tubes of white paint.

6 tubes of white paint = 2 tubes of blue paint

15 tubes of white paint = number of blue paint tubes used for 15 tubes of white paint

Hence we will used unitary method to find the same;

Number of blue paint tubes used =
(15* 2)/(6) = (30)/(6)=5

Hence 5 tubes of blue paint are used for 15 tubes of white paint.
