Use a linear function (again)

let x = peanuts

let y = almonds

3x+4y=27.45

5x+2y=24.05

Multiple 2nd equation by 2

3x+4y=27.45

10x+4y= 48.1

7x=20.65

x=2.95

Plug in x into either equation

10x+4y= 48.1

29.5+4y=48.1

4y=18.6

y=4.65

4.65+2.95=7.60
