PLEASE HELP ANSWER JUST ONE OF THEM AT LEAST!

Polly buys a drink at a convenience store for $1.80. She also buys a bag of chips.



(a) The ratio of the cost of the chips to the cost of the water is 4:3. Find the cost of the chips.

(b) Polly has $6 to spend. Work out the total amount she spends on a drink and chips as a fraction of the $6. Give your answer in its lowest terms.




(c) The $6 is 37.5% less than the amount Polly had to spend last week. Calculate the amount she had last week.

we know that the ratio between chips and water is 4:3 so:

Chips/Water = 4/3

Solving for chips:

Chips = 4 Water / 3

Now put the price of the water here, and you should get the price of the chips:

Chips = 4 * 1.8 / 3

Chips = 2.4 $

b) If the chips cost 2.4 and the drink 1.8, the total is 4.2, therefore, the total amount is:

4.2/6 = 2.1/3 = 0.7/1

c) If 6$ is 37.5% then the 100% would be:

6 * 100 / 37.5 = 16$
