Nurse midwives sometimes provide their labor and birthing services in the patient's home. This is typically only done for low-risk pregnancies. How do you feel about this? Do you feel that even for low-risk pregnancies, it is wiser to birth a child in a healthcare facility with access to technology, equipment, and multiple healthcare professionals? Why or why not? How do you think technology and equipment can help or hinder the birthing process?

Answer:

It is very risky to use the services of mid wives and give birth at home even with low risk pregnancies. The reason is that the pregnancy can turn into a high risk or the post pregnancy circumstances can vary which would need urgent healthcare facilities and a professional who would know how to erase danger.

Technology does not necessarily hinder the birthing process. if anything, they will assist in safer birthing process, informing of unseen technicalities and so the professional can prepare and plan to deal with it safely keeping the mother and child out of danger. Unlike a mid wive.
