You pretty much don't need to pay attention to the mess on the right side. We know that corresponding angles on a traversal are congruent if the lines are parallel so assuming the line is parallel, the angle bottom left of 124 also equals 124, and because vertical angles are equal x=124.

you can prove this with the angle of 95 on the other side. take the angle directly below 95 and because they correspond they are equal. the vertical angle of 95 is also 95.

Since line c and d are parallel, line a can act as a transversal. Thus, x=124 degrees because of the alternate exterior angle relationship that can be seen.
