Given that,

The perimeter of a rectangle, P = 18 units

Width = half of the length.

To find,

Equation that represent the relation between length and width.

Solution,

We have,

P = 18

Let length is l and width is b.

b = l/2

The perimeter of a rectangle, P = 2(l+b)

Put all the values,

18 = 2(l+l/2)

9 = l+l/2

3l/2 = 9

and

b=((3l)/(2))/(2)

Therefore, this is the required solution.
