List 3 reasons why the North opposed slavery and why the south was for slavery.

Answer: In the south there was a lot more land that needed tending to. In the north the people were a lot more productive in making a free country equal for everyone. The south was more traditional and fixed. The south depended on crops/farming as their way to grow their economy and earn money. The south had a lot of cotton growing, and it needing tending before it was sold. The north wanted to follow the declaration of independence and create all men being equal.
