Answer: The Customers have to spend $4000 in order to raise $1000 for the pet rescue program.

Explanation:

Hi, to answer this question we have to write a proportion.

Proportion = money spent / money raised for the pet rescue program

For every $120 that customers spend, $3: 120/3

To raise $100 : x / 100

Where x is the money that customers spent to raise $100 for the pet rescue program.

Solving for x:

120/3 = x /100

(120/3)100=x

x =$4000
