Question

I’m having some trouble with figuring out how to go about this assignment, usually I’d use an example or something similar to what we have to do and then work from there but I haven’t been able to find any written examples for this assignment on the internet or in our textbook.

The assignment is;
“Design a maze that will test different metrics for octopus intelligence. You can draw them out or explain it in paragraph form. These can include tool use, learning, recognizing colors and shapes, or using camouflage. Explain how
each task will explicitly test a component of intelligence. Lastly, predict how your test subject
might perform on the task.”

Please help me out, I only need a small mini-paragraph of an example and I’ll be fine. I really just need something to go off of.

My maze would have 3 tasks, these would be shapes, camouflage and the ability to detect upcoming obstacles. The shape task would show how octopi can shapeshift, it will help us learn if they can just shapeshift without thinking or if it’s more difficult then it seems. The second task is camouflage. The maze would change colors as you go along to see if the octopus changes with it. Next in my maze I would plant different fish and food for the octopus to deter them from being able to find the exit.
