x - 6y = - 30 (subtract x from both sides )

- 6y = - x - 30 ( divide all terms by - 6 )

with slope m =

y = - 6x + 5 ← in slope- intercept form

with slope m = - 6

Parallel lines have equal slopes.

Clearly the lines are not parallel.
