Usually, a person suffering from diabetes even though he has unexplained weight loss also experiences increased appetite and thus, consumes more food this is because even though the needed glucose is being wasted, the body's requirement for feel continues.
As a result, a person with diabetes feels hungry and eats more (

). Despite eating more, he or she loses weight as the body uses fat and protein to substitute for glucose.
