Answer:

The Battle of Coleto Creek (March 19-20 1836) took place in an open prairie environment with high grass. This gave a tactical advantage to the Texan defenders and aided them to resist Mexican infantry and cavalry attacks. High grass difficulted the vision and a realistic appraisal of the battlefield by Mexican commanders. Nevertheless, there was little water in the area, so the defenders couldn´t give water to their wounded nor cool their cannons. Texans surrendered.
