12*8=9*x

96=9x

x=96/9

simplify,

Now cross multiply.


9x=12\cdot8\Longrightarrow x=(12\cdot8)/(9)\approx\boxed{10.67}

Patrick can buy about 11 (10.67) bunches of bananas.
