Let's find the unit rate, or unit cost. This is the cost for 1 ticket.

6 dollars = 2 tickets

3 dollars = 1 ticket

I divided both sides by 2 so that "2 tickets" turns into "1 ticket". Therefore, it costs $3 per ticket.

--------------

Multiply this unit cost (3) by 3, 5, and 10 to get these values

3*3 = 9

3*5 = 15

3*10 = 30

So to buy 3, 5, or 10 tickets, the cost would be $9, $15, and $30 in that order. These three values fill in the first row of the table.

------------

If you know the cost of some number of tickets, then you can divide by the unit cost to figure out the number of tickets you purchased.

So if you spent $27 total, then 27/3 = 9 tickets were bought.
