Answer: False

An interest group is an organization responsible for people who share at least one common interest and who work towards their goal. Unlike pressure groups, an interest group does not depend primarily on relations with public entities and, if it does not intend to change public policies, may even prescribe these relations for the execution of its objective. Interest groups are seen as components used in a pluralistic democracy.
